Meet Sydney.
Sydney Ibarra, 21, was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Suwannee, Georgia. She is a senior Mass Communication student at Georgia College and State University, set to graduate in 2023. Her subject matter ranges from landscape to macro photography.
Spending much of her childhood on family property, she developed a deep love for nature photography. Sydney’s childhood was filled with days spent in the woods and in the sea. She has always been fascinated with the essence and connectivity of the world.
Learning from her father, she found an appreciation for everything nature provides. The contrast between nature’s simplicity at first glance, and complexity with a closer look is what she strives to capture. Mother Nature always presents the perfect picture, but few take the time to notice. These moments of stillness remind her of life’s beauty even in chaos. Photography is a constant reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things.
